Cheecon offers the best showjumping bloodlines of all time, ( Caretino, Caletto II, Cor De La Bryere ) along with the oldest,
purest Holsteiner lines ( Flacon, Farnese, Faehnrich ). He is one of the elite few Cheenook sons standing in America. He
has a huge, natural jump with beautiful bascule and he is being prepared for a career as a showjumper. His gaits are
amazing to watch, particularly his big, balanced, rocking-chair canter. Our guests who have come out to visit him, have all
remarked on how well-mannered he is. He has consistently passed on trainability, sensible disposition, excellent bone, eye
appeal, very athletic conformation, and a natural talent for and love of jumping. His progeny can now be viewed on the
Cheecon Offspring page. He currently stands 16.0h 1/2" and is still growing; he is expected to finish about 16.1. His
cannon measures 9.50". I am pleased to offer Cheecon for consideration in 2008 to the public. His stud fee for 2008 is
$900.00 LFG ( $250.00 nonrefundable booking included ). Additional fees for A.I apply. Please see the
 breeding info page
for details.
Imported Reg. German Holsteiner b. 2002 by Cheenook; out of Felicitas
Cheenook, Cheecon's sire, was a successful International Grand Prix dressage
horse that sired many top showjumpers as well as passing on his fabulous gaits. He
was noted as having some of the best piaffe and passage movements in the world.
He passed away in 2005 and will be sorely missed by many.

Cheecon
Soulspring Horses is located in the beautiful, horse-friendly countryside of Mt. Park, Oklahoma and is owned  and
operated by my husband and I, Royce and Elaine Harder. I was blessed to be able to purchase and import my Holsteiner
stallion, Cheecon, from Germany in 2003. In selecting my stallion, I knew that the Holsteiner horse "seemed to defy
gravity" and is noted for its outstanding accomplishments in both; showjumping and dressage. When I witnessed this in
Cheecon as he floated around the arena, I knew I had found my horse. He is the embodiment of power, grace, and
beauty with a much respected pedigree, and I am proud to offer this extraordinary stallion at stud in 2008.
Update: I currently am downsizing my breeding operation due to my returning to college and a desire to spend more time
on Cheecon's training. Cheecon will still be available for stud, but I am producing only 1 foal of my own in 2008. We are
not a big commercial breeder, but rather a small operation promoting a type of horse we believe in. We won't own a horse
that isn't sound in mind ( though, I'll take quirky...) and safe for my little ones to be around.

With over 20 years of horse experience in everything from breeding to eventing to competitive driving, I do my own
training focused on hunter/jumpers with some dressage influence. I have an "old school" mentality and take my time
bringing up my horses and turning them into performers.
I am under the instruction of Jane Ann Whisenant, the proprietor
of Suncrest Stables, and GO Hunter/Jumper Show Trainer.  Jane Ann is the wife of Bill Whisenant, President of OHJA, on
the National Board of USHJA, R Steward for the USEF, and is on the GOHJ Board.   Please feel free to explore my site
and check out what I have to offer.
