Cheecon offers the best showjumping bloodlines of all time, ( Caretino, Caletto II, Cor De La Bryere ) along
with the oldest, purest Holsteiner lines ( Flacon, Farnese, Faehnrich ). He is one of the elite few Cheenook
sons standing in America. He has a huge, natural jump and is being prepared for a career as a showjumper,
however, his disposition and steadiness has made him appealing as a hunter sire as well. His gaits are
amazing to watch, particularly his big, balanced, rocking-chair canter. He has terrific feet and has never worn a
shoe- a trait he has passed on to all of his get. Our guests who have come out to visit him, have all remarked
on how well-mannered he is; often after a training session, he has ponied our children around the ring. He
has consistently passed on a trainable, sensible disposition, excellent bone, eye appeal, very athletic
conformation, and a natural talent for and love of jumping. His progeny can now be viewed on the Cheecon
Offspring page. The oldest offspring are just entering the showring and having great success! He currently
stands 16.0h 1/2" with cannon measures of 9.50". I am pleased to offer Cheecon for consideration in 2010 to
prospective breeders. His stud fee is $900.00 LFG ( $250.00 nonrefundable booking included ). Additional fees
for A.I apply. Please see the breeding info page for details.
Imported Reg. German Holsteiner b. 2002 by Cheenook; out of Felicitas VI
Cheenook, Cheecon's sire, was a successful International Grand Prix dressage horse
that sired many top showjumpers, and hunters as well as passing on his fabulous gaits.
He was noted as having some of the best piaffe and passage movements in the world.
He passed away in 2005 and will be sorely missed by many.

Soulspring Horses is now located in Medicine Park, Oklahoma! Nestled in the Wichita Mountains, we are
raising our horses up in peaceful, rolling countryside surrounded by great mountain views. Soulspring is
owned and operated by my husband and I, Royce and Elaine Harder. I was blessed to be able to take my time
and import a horse from Germany that carries qualities I truly believe in. My Holsteiner stallion, Cheecon, is
the product of 800 years worth of German breeding efforts-He is the embodiment of jumping power, gentle
temperament, ground-covering stride, soundness, and beauty, complimented by a much respected pedigree
that carries on some of the oldest and purest Holsteiner lines.
We are not a big commercial breeder, but rather a small operation promoting a type of horse we believe
contributes to improving the quality of American horses in the traditional Olympic sports as well as the
Hunter rings. We won't own a horse that isn't sound in mind and body and safe for our children to interact
with. With over 23 years of horse experience in everything from breeding to eventing to competitive driving,
I do my own training focused on hunter/jumpers with some dressage influence. I have an "old school"
mentality and take my time bringing up my horses and turning them into performers. I am under the
instruction of Jane Ann Whisenant, the proprietor of Suncrest Stables, and GO Hunter/Jumper Show Trainer.
Jane Ann is the wife of Bill Whisenant, President of OHJA, on the National Board of USHJA, R Steward for the
USEF, and is on the GOHJ Board. Please feel free to explore my site and check out what I have to offer.
